The Columbia Shuswap Invasive Species Society is leading a multi-year restoration project at Blanket Creek Provincial Park. The goal of this project is to enhance and restore natural areas by re-seeding and planting indigenous plants. Volunteers are needed to help with seeding and planting activities. Blanket Creek is an area with important conservation values such as kokanee spawning habitat and ungulate winter range- your efforts will help protect valuable habitat for wildlife! This project is made possible with funding support from BC Parks, Environment and Climate Change Canada, and the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation. The consultants Shearing Ltd. will be helping guide restoration planting and have created the restoration plan for this site.
