Location: Tsútswecw Provincial Park, meet at Main Parking Lot & Information Centre
Description: Come join the Columbia Shuswap Invasive Species Society (CSISS), BC Parks and other land managers for an insightful day learning about the impacts of wildfire on invasive plant species at Tsútswecw Provincial Park. The day will include: a welcome from Skwlāx te Secwepemcúl̓ecw, an overview of the site by BC Parks and CSISS, guest speakers from the Grasslands Conservation Council to share their experiences with the Elephant Hill Wildfire Invasive Plant Program, as well as a walking site tour to look at invasive plant growth in the park post-wildfire. Participants will walk away with enhanced invasive plant identification, reporting and management ideas post-wildfire. Land managers, indigenous groups, private landowners, businesses (agriculture, tourism, recreation), regional community groups, and members of the public are all welcome.
Lunch is included.
