This multifaceted workshop will be led by the talented Charise Folnovic & Jess Booth! Discover how invasive plants can be repurposed into art, turning a conservation challenge into a source of inspiration.
July 15th, 9am – 11am
Learn how to transform invasive plant species into beautiful designs through the technique of flower pounding, or “Tatakizome”. Delve into this ancient Japanese technique which uses hammers or mallets to release the natural pigments from flowers and leaves. Every student will leave with extra knowledge about local invasives and a collection of stunning botanical imprints.
